Evaporative Coolers

Most folk out there have never heard of an Evaporative cooler let alone seen one. Once you go through the technology most of them would get it. In the old days way before Air Conditioning the only chance of keeping cool would be to step outside. They would have to create elaborate sleeping areas outside surrounded by hanging dampened fabric to stay cool. The idea was that the warm air would filter through the fabric and hey presto cool air would come out the other side.

Well an idea not too dissimilar exists today and it’s called an Evaporative Cooler.

Evaporative coolers consist of a fan that drags the warm air into the cooler component where it goes through damp pads. The way the pads remain damp is by water being pumped and circulated through the machine.

Simple really the hot air picks up some of the water and subsequently the water cools pumping cooler air into the room. A plus to the Evaporative Cooler is that the pads that cool the air will also act as a basic filter filtering possible harmful elements including dust.

Be Green and Cool

The thing about Evaporative Air Coolers is that water is made to work for it and not potentially harmfulman made elements that may damage the planet. Evaporative cooling uses far less energy than conventional Air Conditioning units and consequently may be less harmful to the environment.
